The Brief

The brief on this project was to provide a whole house infrastructure for Tel, Data and TV and provide a discrete multi-room audio system to the main rooms and a more modest solution for the secondary rooms.

The Solution

We installed the latest generation of Multi-room audio from Living Control in the form of the NT system. This system provides audio to a total of twelve independent rooms controlled via in-wall keypads. The clients music is stored on a Music Box NT server and the keypads provide full feedback of what is being listened to. In the secondary rooms QED's modular audio system was used to distribute a single audio source to each room with then the facility to connect a local source if required.

In the TV room a Pioneer plasma screen was installed with a 5.1 in-ceiling audio system with then two smaller screens installed at either end of the Kitchen. These two rooms are controlled via Philips Pronto remote controls and all the screens have access to High Definition signals from both SkyHD and the BluRay Player.

Behind these systems a whole house Cat6 ethernet system with Data / Telephone and TV points installed in every habitable room. Wireless access were discretely installed to provide whole house wireless coverage.

Externally a discrete CCTV system was installed to cover the whole perimeter of the property. These can be viewed via any of the TV screens, the clients PC's and also remotely via the Internet.
